Hey, I’m Jordan — your friendly neighborhood writer man. I’ve been writing about video games for over 15 years, and playing them for twice as long. To put that into perspective: the Super Nintendo was released just a month after I was “released.” So yeah, we basically grew up together.
Video games have always been more than just a hobby. They helped shape my creativity, sharpened my storytelling instincts, and made me the writer I am today. I started off crafting concepts and writing stories for my own dream games, none of which I ever made (yet). That led me deep into the world of RPG Maker and indie development communities, where I spent years helping other like-minded nerds flesh out their own projects, most of which also never saw the light of day.

Time marched forward, as it does. Unless you have the power to stop or reverse time, and life isn’t strange enough for that. I entered the realm of content writing, beginning with my first-ever articles on indie game dev sites. Then came Game Podunk, where my blog articles were frequently featured (and yes, I’m totally bragging). Eventually, I was hired on as an editor, and later ran their YouTube channel — scripting, voicing, editing, and producing videos about games of all kinds. The channel’s still up. The website? It perished in the great war. But I walked away with leveled-up skill trees in writing, video production, and even music composition.
