Power-up your video game website with articles gamers actually want to read!

Let's get started

About Jordan

I’ve been writing about video games for about 15 years now, and I’ve been playing video games for twice that long. To put it into perspective, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System was released a month after I was …uh… “released.” Basically, I’m old I was kinda raised on video games and ended up being a talented writer. So writing about video games only made sense.

I began my video game writing venture writing ideas for games I wanted to create myself, not that I ever created any of those games. Yet. But I did have loads of ideas, which led me to an RPG Maker community of like-minded nerds who shared the same passion as me, as well as the same struggles with turning ideas into actual games…

Hey, we’re only human. Except you, Steve. You’re not fooling anyone.

Anyway, I ended up helping other aspiring game developers flesh out their stories while honing my skills. Both as a writer and as a composer. Oh, did I forget to mention that I’m a musician as well? Check out what I’ve composed right here.

Time marched forward, as it does. Unless you have the power to stop or reverse time, and life isn’t strange enough for that. Another game development website popped up that I joined and eventually wrote blog articles for. Those were the first articles I ever wrote. Sadly, those two sites don’t exist anymore. All that remains are my memories and the increase to my writing skill level.

Eventually, I stumbled upon a humble little video game website known as Game Podunk thanks to my older brother, who is also a writer and nerd, discovering it and its at-the-time incentive of $50 if you wrote a blog article that the higher-ups liked enough to feature. After he told me about it, I jumped at the opportunity to start a blog and write away. Not to brag (I’m totally bragging), but most of my articles ended up getting featured.

Before long, my brother and I were hired as editors for Game Podunk. Later, I was tasked with making videos for the Game Podunk YouTube channel, which still exists, even though the website does not. You can check it out right here.

Years later, I’m back on teh internetz and ready to work. Here is what I have to offer:

Five Ways Video Games Have Shaped Me

I’m officially 34 years old now. At least, I was at the time I posted this. I was born in 1990, and with an older brother who was already old enough to play video games at my birth and parents who didn’t mind investing money to make their son happy, I ended up sort of...

Top 10 SNES Games You Probably Never Played

Ah, the 90s… That decade holds plenty of fond memories for me as a gamer, what with the Super Nintendo being released in 1991 and all. As soon as I was old enough to hold a controller and understand how to use it, I had plenty of classics at my disposal. That’s, uh,...
